LEAK

3D printed watering can for small green worlds

The home environment increasingly mixed with the work environment has increased the need to make the place where we spend most of our time more liveable.

From the need to be able to nourish, care for and love our small home oasis, the idea of creating an object of suitable size to be able to take care of our plants was born.

A drop that contains drops … and each of them, however small, is a gesture of love.

A small functional object to show and not hide, which reminds you to never stop taking care of the things we love.

It is made with 3D printing techniques that use PLA filaments, a bioplastic material derived from corn that makes it compostable through specific processes.

In the finished piece, some typical elements of the manufacturing process using 3D printing are visible which are to all intents and purposes considered the peculiar characteristics of the printing process, such as the vertical line that runs along the entire back of the object called “seam” which represents the point in the printer changes the print layer to the next.

By observing Leak closely, the individual print layers are also visible to the naked eye.

Other small imperfections are part of the history of the product and its production technology that makes the product semi-handmade
